Super-Hoggerine

Super-Hoggerine: a phenomenal 350 yard dash to the finish from Iain Cox this morning after a cheeky little hello as he passed me(just to let me know) before making the whole process look easy as he took a load of Parkrunners’ scalps along the way; @ 23:38 a well-deserved PB (park specific).

Hilary Browne remains in Hoggerine state and followed up last week’s brilliant PB of 27:16 @ 27:24. Lovely. She’s now looking to get to work on her 10K time too.

Did Charlie Gerlis whip out her XC transferable fitness this morning and get her first sub 24:00 time @ 23:46 and knock 20 seconds off her previous PB? She sure did.

A little competition this morning between John Drake and Richard Rae on the park this morning @ 21:11 and 21:12; 19thand 20th.

Painful runs for Terry Woodhouse and me as we ran on gym tight legs; I don’t know how Terry’s feeling but I feel like someone’s taken a hammer to my entire muscle chain below the waist not to mention a couple of painful cramps, @ 22:31 and @ 23:51.

Stevie Jade-Beeby bemoaned her progress on the comeback trail but she’s really doing very well @ 23:06 that’s another strong bit of progress.

Excellent effort and resultant consistency from Valérie Spezi and Shila Mistry as they keep form @ 29:46 and @ 29:40. Well done.

Well done to Sezer Domac who was not only able to concentrate on guide running but was thoroughly able to hold a conversation at the same time; if I was listening to a recording I’d have assumed he was just sat on a park bench : 24:43.

Where’s Harry?

Pigs in Dryrobes: David White 20:59, Kathryn Evans 23:55, Mark Gerlis 20:27, Hazel Anne Beasley 50:36, Brian Feldman 38:38, Neil Humpage 22:15, Chester (wiv Mat) 30:27, Sangita Pandya 32:49, Karen Cox 33:17, Liz Butler 34:33.

Third Week Lucky: every week I mean to say thanks for the votes at the Roadhoggs Annual Awards but by the time I’ve written everything else I’ve completely forgotten. So, thanks for the votes at the Roadhoggs Annual Awards; I had no reason to expect anything and ended up with three wins which was particularly touching because I certainly didn’t win anything for athletic performance. Clearly the gods were conspiring for me that night.

With decent weather and your club captain Dave leading an alternative route you could do worse than tomorrow’s Egg & Cake Run for ten miles of hilly fun. I’ve posted the details on my PREVIOUS POST BELOW, NOTE THE MEETUP LOCATION IS DIFFERENT. As always be sure you’re up to the distance.
