The LRRL season kicked off in glorious sunshine at the Stilton 7. Gurmit (12th) and Mike (90th) lead the men’s team (both recording impressive PBs) and Kathryn (14th) and Leah (21st) spearheaded the ladies’ effort. Hayley made her road debut for the club and Cath bagged a PB (no resting on laurels for 2021’s ‘Most Improved’ lady). Draft results can be found on lran.org.uk .

At Prestwold Hall, Haseeb completed the Leicestershire HM in 1.35.28 and Komal smashed her PB with a 2.05.24; that’s a 6-minute improvement and 11-minutes better than on the same course just a year ago.

Whilst Gurmit sat out parkrun on Saturday, son Ashveer ensured the family’s regular top 10 spot. Kathryn tuned up for Sunday by being first lady in 21.53. Our star performer though, was Grace, who took nearly 2-minutes off the PB she set just 3 weeks ago.
