Roadhoggs Awards 2023

We had a fantastic evening on Saturday. The vote for ‘Athlete of the Year’ was the closest we’ve ever had, with Mo Hussein retaining the trophy by the narrowest of margins. We also had over 30 different members nominated, which goes to show how much people appreciate their fellow club members. Leah Boatman and Dave Pearce were recipients of the Road Running awards and Blake Taylor and Sarah Richards were winners of the ‘Most Improved’ awards. The cross country awards went to Helen Ward and Marcus Shaikh. There was a ‘Services to Roadhoggs’ award for Tom Martin, who will step down after a long stint as Men’s Road Running Captain at the AGM, a ‘Club Person’ award for Dave Pearce and a ‘Special Achievement’ award for Brian Feldman.

We also saluted our LRRL award winners; Mo Hussein (Men’s Champion), Gurmit Singh (3rd V40), Anna Hiley (2nd V45), Kathryn Evans (2nd V50), Dave Pearce (3rd V55) and Brian Feldman (3rd V75). Some of our 3rd place Vet Men’s team received their shields and there was recognition for our LRRL 100 percenters. The London marathon draw saw 12 members go head to head and the lucky winner was Mike Cummins
