Roadhoggs Awards 2022

On Saturday 19th we held our annual dinner and awards evening. Many thanks to Alison for organising and to John and colleagues at LCCC for putting on a great evening for us. It was lovely to have so many members, old and new, partners and families joining us to celebrate another year of achievements. Many of those present were in action on Sunday, so there was a certain amount of restraint on show, but it didn’t dampen the atmosphere one bit.

The big prize, Athlete of the Year, went to Mo in the season that he won the LRRL, becoming only the third Roadhogg to do so. Mo also scooped the Road Running Captain’s Award, alongside Jackie Brown. Our most improved athletes were Komal Parmar and Mike Cummins. The Cross Country Captain’s Awards went to Helen Arthur and Gurmit Singh. There was a Club Person Award for Mat Jenkinson and a Special Achievement Award for Fiona Castle in recognition of her performance at UTMB. Finally, the draw for the club Marathon place was won by John Drake.
