First XC fixture of the season

Sunday saw the first XC fixture of the season at Holly Hayes. The weather was great, we had a great turnout (17 men and 5 ladies) and the cakes were delicious (thanks Helen A and Alison). I will leave the full report to Sam, but here are some highlights; debuts for Mo, Adrian, Ashveer and Martin Cr, Victory for Mo, 9th and 33rd for Gurmit and Sam respectively, a full ladies team and seeing Randeep powering to the finish.

The cross country turnout was even more impressive considering we had several members running the Derby 10 mile race. Rambo recorded 1.07.11 (Silver Standard), Mike 1.08.24 (Gold), Leah 1.14.28 (Silver), Jackie 1.17.38 (Diamond) and Valerie 1.46.30 (Pewter). At the sharp end, there was an impressive 55.18 from second claimer Ludo.

Our parkrun stars of the week were Mary (PB), Dylan (PB and 100 milestone) and Harry (200 milestone).
