Annual Roadhoggs Dinner

Bookings are now being taken for the Annual Roadhoggs Dinner on Saturday, 27th November 2021. This is always a great evening of good food and fellowship, when we recognise the achievements of our fellow runners and present awards to the Athlete of the Year (as voted for by you on the night), the most improved athletes and the recipients of the Men’s and Ladies’ Captains’ awards for road running. There will be no cross country awards this year as there has been so little competition since March 2020, but there will be some additional awards to recognise the various contributions that members have made in the last two years.

John is once again hosting the event in the Charles Palmer Suite at Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s Grace Road ground and has planned a delicious menu – see the attached flyer for all the details. All dietary requirements can be accommodated (please contact jmstew@leicestershireccc.co.uk if you have any queries). A bar will be available throughout the evening (card payments only, cash cannot be accepted under any circumstances).

The Charles Palmer Suite is a large, well-ventilated space but, in addition, we have made the following arrangements to ensure as safe an event as possible in the light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic:
• There will be no disco this year
• Guests must not attend if they are feeling unwell, have recently tested positive for Covid-19, are exhibiting any symptoms or have been instructed to self-isolate (a full refund will be offered by the Club for cancellations due to Covid-19)
• Guests are encouraged to perform a lateral flow test on the day of the event
• There will be no requirement to wear face coverings, but guests may wish to do so when not seated at their table
Tickets are priced at £18.00 per head (there is no charge for under 12s having the children’s menu), including:
• Complementary reception drink
• Table service three course meal
• Fresh ground cafetiere coffee and “Red Fox” chocolate orange
Tickets may be purchased in the following ways:
(i) By cash or card to Alison or Dave at Wednesday evening training nights
(ii) By bank transfer direct to the club’s account:
