Steve Wheeler 1.43.34, Neil 1.46.18, Blake 1.49.28, Terry 1.49.58. Anna (1.52.21) was trying to be good, ahead of her New York Marathon next week. Mark Richards (1.56.54) and Steve P (1.58.12) were both comfortably under the 2-hour mark, with Steve finishing 2nd V70. Emma (2.02.12) was next and then Martin Crighton (2.04.12 in his debut HM) and Komal (2.07.25), who helped each other round. It looks like Komal’s chip didn’t register at the start, so I suspect her real time was around 2.04.14 (which would be a PB).
New member Dylan got a PB (2.10.31) and Keith (2.10.10) ran his annual race with his usual ease (and of course a curly red wig). Martin W ran 2.15.35 and it was great to see Kathryn Beck do 2.17.08. Cath did 2.18.30 and Lee (2.19.46) teamed up with Grace (2.19.50) for her debut Half. Our final finisher was Vijay (2.53.55). Hopefully, I’ve not missed anyone.
For the first time, they added a 10K to run in parallel with the Half and several members took advantage. Max showed that his comeback is on track with 25th place in 44.07, Jackie was 6th lady and 1st V50 in a season’s best of 47.08. Dave Brownlow ran a PB of 49.00, George did 54.12 and Hilary Browne, 1.05.27. Mary did 1.09.50 in her debut 10K and Sarah Richards 1.17.54.
