With the Road League a distant memory now and The London Marathon finished it is time to set our sights on the Cross Country league, which will be starting on November 20th at Holly Hayes wood. This is a great race to get you into Cross Country. It is a winding woodland race with a couple of stream crossings, there are a few little climbs but nothing too intimidating.
Last year we started off well, but the numbers dwindled throughout the season, so hopefully this year we can get some good numbers out and try to climb back through the rankings
The Cross Country league runs from November until March and there will be 5 races in that time. It is a great chance to try something new and keep up your training in the winter months. The change in terrain also benefits you for when you come back to road running.
It is a lovely friendly atmosphere and we all meet up at the end of the race and enjoy some coffee and cake inside the Roadhoggs tent. So if you fancy trying something new and you’re not afraid of getting a little bit wet and muddy then come and do some cross country and enjoy all the camaraderie that goes with it.
Hope to see you there.
