The iconic Charnwood Hills race was the major event of the weekend. After a prolonged dry spell, overnight rain and strong winds contributed to making it a tough morning. Sam J took a fine 36th over all, beating some good runners in the process. Pride of place though, goes to our ladies (Kathryn 11th, Hayley 19th and Charly 28th) who finished 3rd in the team competition. Our other finishers were David (104th), Mike (125th), Leah (33rd), Anna (45th) and Marcus (192nd). Elsewhere, Brian was dodging flooded roads on his annual trip to the Watford HM.

We had plenty out at parkrun on Saturday; Kathryn was first lady at Leicester Victoria and Grace grabbed a PB. Holiday Harry was in sunny Stoke, doing the Trentham Gardens event.
