There was definitely a sense of ‘what could have been’ on Saturday. Gurmit and Mo were both entered into the 5K Track Challenge at Harvey Haddon Stadium in Nottingham. Gurmit, wisely, took the decision to withdraw from his race with a niggle and Mo had to back off after 3 laps when his long standing injury problem flared up. I don’t think that’ll be the last we see of Mo on the track though; he remarked how much easier it was than running round Victoria Park!
Martin Crighton added another PB at Leicester Victoria and it was great to see Komal making her debut pushing young Akshay, who had a smile on his face the whole way round. At Braunstone, Julian and Helen A demonstrated that they’re in good shape, with rapid runs.
